This song doesn't really need an explanation or introduction. In fact, I love this song so much that it's my ringtone on my phone. It's special to me, because a local DJ used to play this song whenever school would let out for the summer months, and it has stuck with me ever since.

"A Summer Place" was the first really adult movie I ever remember seeing(this from a girl growing up on "I Love Lucy")and realizing love might be a little more complicated than I had first thought. I was only around 10 years old when I saw it with my older sister. I have never forgotten this movie or this song and for several years I had such a crush on Troy Donahue. Thanks for the memories! Oh darn,there goes another song in my head!lol
M.I.A.: I know. My thoughts exactly. What amazes me is the song is such a beautiful, timeless love song but the movie protrays teh love between the two young people as being less than stellar. LOL
