A few days ago, I took this picture. There's nothing extremely special about it. It's just a picture of a cloudless day and trees, lush and full of life. The wind blew gently in the 70-degree weather.
It was a great compliment to my tall glass of raspberry iced tea and favorite porch swing. Yes, my dear friends, it wasn't mind-blowing or anything newsworthy, but everything just seemed right with the world when I marveled in its radiance and tranquility. Then again, this should've been newsworthy. Everyone needs this kind of news.
I know...Today's top story: Simple, yet satisfying.

I love those moments. When just for a moment, everything is perfect and nothing can be improved upon. You are correct, we should have more news days like this.
Thanks, Semi True Storyteller. I agree. There's a really awesome site called, "HAPPY NEWS." Check it out!
Love this! The most un-newsworthy moments are the most news-worthy. That's what we should be focusing on! Beautiful photo. I feel like I'm there sharing a glass of iced tea with you!
Thanks, Deborah! that's my intent for you and everyone that comes to this blog. Pull up your favorite porch chair, your favorite drink, and simply CHILL!
Thanks again!
In a way, I think you and I just wrote the same post. :)
Lovely photo too.
The simplest photographs are often the most stunning. And by the way, I'm feeling quite jealous of your 70 degree temperatures. ;)
HALLOWEEN SPIRIT: Thanks for the comment! 70 degree weather was nice, but now, it's in the 40s. Who knew?
Thanks, as always...
And VAL: Thanks to you, too. See? Great minds tend to think alike. That's my only defense!
You're awesome, girl! And remember: I'm forever your insanely jealous blogger buddy from Tennessee.
Thank you, sweetheart for showing your loving care for pets!!

Thank you, Starry Dawn! Take care and remember time heals everything eventually.
Hi sweetheart,
Thank you for your kind reply and heartfelt support in my sad times!! I am reading your reply, and I feel that I must tell you that time won't heal my deep wound. It will remain a deep scar in my heart. I won't ever forget my best friend, my dear cat Mimmo. I know you understand how I feel, because you are an animal lover like myself. Only animal lovers know what it means to lose a dear pet. Animals are our best friends. God bless you, dear, and all your beloved ones, including your pets!!
By the way, I love Tennessee!!
Until we write again.
Blessings,
Poet Starry Dawn.
