MY DREAM VACATION SPOT

My dream vacation spot has always been Ireland. Don't get me wrong: I'd love to visit other parts of the world. There's just something about the lush, green atmosphere, as well as the history and folklore that surrounds such a beautiful place that's always intrigued me.
     Gorgeous, huh?
Anyone ever been to Ireland? Feel free to leave a comment and tell me your experience, as well as your favorite thing about this beautiful part of the world. In a future post, I'll let you know of another place in the world I've always wanted to visit during a particular time of the year.

Ireland has always sounded interesting to me too. May I join you on your someday trip? :)

I've always wanted to visit the villages my paternal grandparents were from (in Italy/grandfather, and in France/grandmother), and a bunch of places in England seem "me." Someday, someday!!

Thanks, Val and Jane for the comment.

VAL: Oh, don't worry. If I go, I'm taking everyone. It's always fun if a group goes, you know. We can be joint blogger correspondants who are INSANELY JEALOUS of one another...LOL! (inside joke). Anyway, if you do ever get the chance to go, please share pics and let me know what it's like. Also, it's funny you mentioned Italy. I'd love to go to Venice during the Carnival. It looks like a beautiful and mysteriously fun occasion, the way Mardi Gras is truly supposed to be celebrated.

JANE: The Smoky Mountains are a great place to go. When life gets too crazy, I love to go there and spend the day. Visit Aunt Mahalia's Candy Shop and eat a caramel apple dipped in fudge. They're homemade and, oh, so good!

Thank you both for stopping by!

Hi..from the UK,came across your blog via another link and just find it very inspirational!
Yes, have been to Ireland...and it is beautiful..but it's made very special by the people...their love, generosity, humour and sincerity match the timeless beauty of the landscape !
You must go one day...hope you do

Thank you, Paula, for your kind words and for visiting my blog for the first time. I hope it won't be the last.

Everything I've ever read about or watched on television about the culture and scenery is so breathtaking and somewhat serene in it's own way.

Thanks again for stopping by. Please visit again soon.

Ireland and England are two places I would like to visit. Unfortunately, I'm afraid to fly over a wide expanse of very deep water...LOL. A few years back, I was just sick of everything and thought of cashing in some $ and taking a two week vacation in Ireland--all that lush greenery, peacefulness, open land... well, I snapped out of it, and the money is still not spent. I suppose I'll have to be content to look at photos, OR visit with bloggers in Ireland! Heheheee... much less expensive!

JOY: Thanks for your comment. I know the feeling. They'll probably have to sedate me to even get me on the plane. Never been up that high before, either. However, there's a few places I'd risk my fear to go to, Especially Bora Bora. What anotehr gorgeous place to be.

Thanks again!
