"HERE COMES PETER COTTONTAIL..."

I was in the store buying groceries, and there he was in all his glory: Peter Cottontail.
At first, I thought it was odd but then realized Easter isn't that very far away. I know this isn't officially the Easter season yet, but please allow me the liberty of digression.
Ever since I was a child, I loved Easter. Now that I'm older it's about the true meaning but I still love it all: the bright pastel colors, the sign that Spring is just around the next corner, and the altogether hope that plants and flowers that were once dead and barren will soon become lush and beautiful.
And all it took was Mr. Cottontail making his first public appearance of the season to remind me the best really is yet to come.

Easter is kind of magical, when my daughter was small we always had an egg hunt, which she enjoyed a lot. And she loved the easter basket! Blessings jane

JANE: Thanks for the comment. Even in my twenties, my mom always made my sisters and I Easter baskets. I still love a good Easter basket!

Thanks!

I've not only noticed the Easter candy in the stores, I've even been enjoying it! Russell Stover's raspberry marshmallow chocolate eggs... yum. Dark chocolate, and when you bite into it, it cracks into marvelous pieces that you might have to pick up off your lap (or the floor) and enjoy. The best ever is Life Savers' Jelly Beans. Wow, what flavor! I plowed through 5 bags a couple years ago, rationed myself down to 3 bags last year--haven't found them yet in the store--getting a tad frantic. I agree, these things remind us that spring is just around the corner--a cause to celebrate! (and yes, I know the true meaning now, also!--Praise God!)

JOY: Thanks for your comment. I love Russell Stover and live approxiamtely 10 minutes from a Russell Stover Outlet. I try to stay away as much as I can. OProud of myself, though. Haven't been there in over a year. YAY!

And yes: the true meaning of Easter is a precious one, indeed! Thanks for sharing.

Hey, I scored some more Russell Stover raspberry chocolate marshmallow eggs today... and these were 10 cents a piece less than the first store that I had bought them from. It was the highlight of my day. Have a nice evening.

I LOVE raspberry chocolate, Joy! especially Raspberry Chocolate Cocoa. Of course, without the chocolate I love raspberry tea.

Thanks for dropping by, as always!
