AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

JACK AND JACKIE'S GONE ON VACATION, AND HERE COMES TOM TURKEY!

Well...another Halloween has come and gone, and I must say I'm going to miss it. As a blogger, I had a blast taking my digital camera into the "wild blue" and finding all the spooky marvels this time of year has to offer. I'll miss it, but it just gives us something to look forward to for next year.
However, I also love Thanksgiving. It's the time of year families and friends come together and show their thankfulness for one another and express their gratitude for all their many blessings over the past year. The sad part about Thanksgiving is when Halloween's over, everything tends to immediately jump into Christmas mode.
Which brings me to an idea. Throughout the month of November up until Thanksgiving, I'm going to let you in on everything I'm thankful for.
That's right: an attitude of gratitude.
Each and every day of our lives, there's something we should all be thankful for. It could be items of main importance, such as our health, our jobs, food, enough money in the bank, etc.; or it can be something simple, such as a cup of coffee, the pink sun glowing in the morning sky, or anything else you can imagine.
I don't have to do this alone. By all means, feel free to join me. Either blog about it yourself or write on a sheet of paper at least one thing you're thankful for. In fact, take it up a notch and keep a thankful journal.
And come Thanksgiving, we'll show the world (and most of all, ourselves) just how grateful we really are!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, if not my favorite holiday, so I'm always annoyed by the immediate leap to Christmas too. Thanksgiving's wonderful. I just found out I can get home (to my parents and brothers and their families) for the holiday, so that makes it extra special to me this year too. :)

VAL: I'm very happy for you! Family's very special to me, too. I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday.

Much like yourself, I always strive to operate out of gratitude! Every night before I go to bed I say my prayers and express what it is I'm thankful for. I think life runs infinitely better when we operate out of gratefulness for all things...the big and the small things. I try my best to never let a day pass where I haven't thought about what things I'm grateful for! And yes, Thanksgiving is a beautiful holiday to be thankful on! :o)

Halloween is my favorite holiday, followed by Thanksgiving. I have always liked Thanksgiving for the simple fact that it allows you to simply reflect on how blessed we really are.
Then comes Christmas in which drives me crazy for the hectic frenzy of it.

MR. MACABRE: I agree. My family and I agreed this Christmas would be different. It's going to be a sweet and simple Christmas.

Commercialism causes us to spend so much money and there's always this hype that's bigger than it should be. Then, after it's over, it's such a let-down.

WENDY: I love all holidays. They were the happiest of my childhood. On Halloween, my cousins and I went walking around the neighborhood. We had so much fun, and I actually do mis it. On Thanksgiving and Christmas, there's the parades, the food, and everyone simply coming together.
